5,287 ETH linked to reported Triple-A wallet breach

The reported Triple-A wallet breach has drawn attention to a large Ethereum transfer trail, although the payment firm has not confirmed the wallets or the size of any loss. For investors, the public data shows movement of funds, not yet the full scope of the incident.

Blockchain analyst Specter identified an Ethereum address, 0x01F83B5d4fb30E8AA3daC1681B4048D9135253b1, where funds linked to the event appeared to be consolidated. Etherscan records show 12 inbound transfers above 0.01 ETH on July 24 and 25, totaling 5,287.08568411 ETH.

Triple-A said it detected unauthorized access to wallets holding its own digital assets on July 25. The Singapore-based stablecoin payments firm said client funds were held separately in trust accounts with safeguarding institutions and were not exposed. It did not disclose the affected assets, wallet addresses, access method, or financial impact.

Some services entered maintenance mode for about three hours while Triple-A secured its infrastructure. The company said services and settlements had since returned to normal, and that any loss would be absorbed from treasury reserves. It is working with cybersecurity teams, blockchain investigators, Singapore police, and other authorities to trace the assets. The wallet activity does not independently confirm the firm's account of the breach or its client-fund segregation.
