Traders bored with Bitcoin's compressed range can relish the nearly 43% surge in the price during last week. The bullish euphoria may be short-lived, though, as a view of the higher timeframes shows a retest of the lower bound of the summer's range.

Bitcoin has continued to hammer at the support around $9,900 during a relatively uneventful week. As volume drops off, a move comes closer - but will it be a move up to test resistance in the upper $11,000's, or a drop through the weakened support to test the next level in the upper $8,000s?

During the last two weeks, Bitcoin has continued to go parabolic through resistance. It's unclear how long this bull run can continue without a pullback, although probable resistances are around 8,500 and 10,000.
The altcoin marketcap has also risen, although the influx of new money has favored Bitcoin.
